DR. SIMONE DAHLSMANNS
The hands-on designer
“Make the impossible possible, the possible easy, the easy elegant.”
Moshé Feldenkrais
Making the impossible possible always was and still is an exciting challenge for me. How often have we heard, “we've always done it this way, we can't change it”. And then it does work, it's often just a question of “how”. In the design and implementation I support my clients in an advisory and executive capacity. I develop structures and processes simply, transparently, comprehensibly and provide “help for self-help”.

LIGHTHOUSE PROJECTS
Establishment as a contract manufacturer
For a researching and developing biopharmaceutical company, I was responsible for the design, set-up and establishment of an operational manufacturing for the production and supply of clinical trial samples as well as its outsourcing and transfer into an independent, competitive and future-proof company with the objective of acting as a full-service provider and contract manufacturer. As project manager of the multi-project with 15 sub-projects, I created both the project organization and standardized project structures and thus ensured effective and efficient initiation and implementation.
Transformation into a future-proof company
With the goal of transforming a corporate division into a competitive and sustainable independent company, I created a common vision as managing director and project manager, set up a corresponding program and was responsible for the concrete implementation. The organization was transformed from functional to process-oriented structures and all business processes were optimized in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. Conversions to the existing facilities (sterile plant and packaging) enabled capacities to be expanded to meet market requirements. Accompanying personnel development rounded off the program.
Innovative sterile plant
In addition to my operational duties as plant manager, I was responsible as project manager for the new construction of a sterile plant from planning to commissioning, the migration of all products from the existing plant to the new building and ensuring regulatory compliance and customer requirements (CMO). In the space that became available, I rebuilt and expanded the packaging. In parallel, I further developed the organizational structure and optimized business processes with a focus on effectiveness and efficiency. I received the FOYA in the Operational Excellence category for the factory.
