STEFAN VESENMEIER

The trusted enabler

„Tell me and I will forget, show me and I may remember; involve me and I will understand.“
Confucius

Reaching a given goal is easy if the path is straight and without stumbling blocks. However, the interesting and desirable destinations are rarely free of obstacles and the way to get there is often unknown. I see myself as a forerunner, who strengthens the team spirit by giving trust, security and respect to everyone, which enables the team to find the path to the given goal by themselves. This way, we can create value for customers, users and society.

LIGHTHOUSE PROJECTS

LIGHTHOUSE PROJECTS

Workplace migration
As project manager I was responsible for the migration from Win XP to Win 7 as well as the introduction of new hardware for 2500 employees of a telecommunication company. A self-developed semi-automated migration process simplified the scheduling for the users and managed backup and recovery processes. Through consistent change management, I led the two-year project to success.

Rescue: Account migration
For compliance reasons, the customer had to restrict the access to its IT infrastructure of more than 2000 accounts (external partners), which meant that the existing user accounts had to be converted, without any loss of data or downtimes. After I took over the project management, I developed a reliable and stable conversion process together with the technical team, which helped us to regain the trust of the migration customers.

Rescue: MDM migration
When I became project lead for the implementation of a new Master Data Management System, it was on the verge to failure for a second time. Through proactive stakeholder communications, the consolidation of the core team in one office and the use of a Kanban based approach, the various requirements could be prioritized and implemented on schedule.
